Race through the Drakensberg in the Safire Berg 100

Cyclists, are you ready to put your peddle to the metal? Or should we say dirt road? The Safire Berg 100 MTB race is back for a 5th spin around the Southern Drakensberg!

Date: 19 March 2016
Venue: Nottingham Road Primary
Start Time: 07h00

Safire Berg 100

Established in 2011, the Safire Berg 100 is pegged to be one of South Africa’s toughest single-day MTB race events. It gets its name from the length of the route, which is an impressively daunting 100kms long – not for the feint hearted. Despite, garnering stripes for toughness, the Safire Berg 100 organisers still reckon it’s not so hectic, with long, steady climbs and descents, the route is designed to make for a fast ride.
