The Drakensberg

A natural World Heritage site, the Drakensberg boasts remarkably beautiful land formations, including snow-capped peaks, rolling grasslands, river valleys, plunging waterfalls and rocky gorges.
The area is also a cultural World Heritage site and home to Africa's largest, most impressive collection of San rock art, with around 35 000 images at 600 different sites.
Popular spots in the Drakensberg area include Royal National Park, Cathedral Peak, Didima Valley and the Lost Valley.
