Oaklands Polo Club is a prime South African polo location, boasting beautifully schooled horses and one of the best located polo fields in the country. Our protected polo arena sets us apart, as adverse weather conditions are less of a hindrance.
At Oaklands we offer a range of affordable polo tuition options which can be tailored to suit the tastes and needs of our guests. We welcome our guests to observe or participate in practice chukkas, polo games, or tournaments.
Polo lessons
Our polo lessons come in a range of formats and include the following:
A 30 minute coaching session on the wooden horse. Guests will learn the correct riding and stick techniques required for polo. Cost: R100
A 1 hour long riding and stick and ball lesson in the arena. Cost: R300
A Starter pack special which includes a 30 minute wooden horse lesson followed by an hour long riding and stick and ball lesson in the arena. Cost: R350
5 Day Polo packages
Standard Polo courses are of 5 days duration with arrival on Tuesdays and departure on Mondays. Visit our Polo package page for full description and rates.
World class facilities
With some of South Africa’s top polo coaches and well trained and safe horses, Oaklands can accommodate players of any experience level. All of our excellent facilities are located on Oaklands Country Manor property.
Polo is available at Oaklands all year round with tournaments taking place in winter and summer.
